Easier said than done.

.
Be strong and courageous. Fear not nor be afraid. Pretty good advice when things are going good. But what if a troubling storm rears it's ugly head? Suddenly strong and courageous takes a back seat to being scared and panic stricken. I know, I speak from experience. And you know what is even more frightening? Trusting God when those storms arise. But it is during these times of crisis that God shines the brightest...that is if you let Him.

For me, too often, I rely on my own power. My head knows to be patient and wait on God to see me through my trials but the heart is slow to learn. If I would just put more faith in God and know He is directing my path then perhaps the storms in my life could be easily weathered.

The message card above that I created is to remind me to stand firm in the face of trouble and to remind me that no matter what, God is going to be with me. Heart, are you listening?

What do I say?

I am always at a loss for words when I first start writing to people I don't know. I write well but you don't know that. I have a great sense of humor but you don't know that either. In fact, you know nothing about me at all.
.
Well let me first of all say, I don't bite. so you are more than welcome to leave a comment on anything I post. I am probably more scared of you than you are of me. Although I will write what is ever on my mind, the main purpose is to promote my artwork because art is what I do. It's really all I know how to do. I'm to honest to be a politician (though I do have my political view points) and I am way too short to be in the NBA which is just as well because I posess absolutely zero mad ball skillz. I just like to do art.
.
What kind of art? Illustration, cartooning, painting, airbrush, whatever is creative. I don't care. I'll draw something in the sand if I have to.
.
The first picture I am posting is of a caricature illustration of a very good cellist named Zoe Keating who lives in San Francisco. Using a cello, a Mac and a midi sampler, she becomes a one woman band creating an entire orchestra of cellos. The illustration which was drawn in Photoshop was inspired by a concert I saw last week in LA with her and Curt Smith of Tears For Fears. I came back to Tucson and decided, I'm going to draw her. It was just that simple. If you feel so inclined, let me know what you think. :0)
